(18-22″ tall x 12″ wide) Cannasolâ„¢ Happy Julia Canna Lily not only wows with dark salmon flowers, but holds those flowers within and above deep, plum-colored foliage. If you’d like to grow cannas, but you’re not sure you have the space, consider one of the Cannasolâ„¢ series which are vigorous, virus-free and ultra-compact. Flowers are self-cleaning and ‘Happy Julia’ continuously produces them – from early summer to first frost. It’s a plant that brings a tropical feel to a temperate garden. Site in full sun or in light shade in moisture-retentive soil, or add ‘Happy Julia’ to the margins of your water feature. Hummingbirds love canna and with blossoms this prolific, you’re sure to love them too. If you live in growing zones 3-6, you can dig the rhizomes in fall and easily overwinter them in a dark, frost-free location.
